Overview
The Legislative Assistant provides research and administrative support to the VP of
Government Affairs & Policy, helping to track legislative priorities, monitor hearings, and
prepare briefings.
Key Responsibilities
Track state and federal bills relevant to passenger rail.
Summarize hearings, markups, and floor actions.
Prepare briefing memos and draft letters for lawmakers.
Support grassroots campaigns as directed.
Qualifications
Interest or background in political science, law, or public policy.
Research and writing skills required.
Comfort working in a fast-moving policy environment.
Time Commitment
~10 hours per month, flexible with legislative calendar.
