RAIL PASSENGERS ACTION CENTER
FIND YOUR LEGISLATOR

Save The Flyer
Since the Texas state legislature failed to secure the necessary funding to support operations for the Heartland Flyer passenger rail service, the train is in jeopardy of shutting down on October 1st. This will lead to the loss of jobs, opportunities, accessibility, and an estimated $23.7M in economic benefits for Texas and Oklahoma. It will also mean the end to future expansion into Kansas. We must fight back and deliver our message to the Governor's office: SAVE THE HEARTLAND FLYER!

Tell Your Reps: Keep Amtrak Rolling
With the resignation of CEO Stephen Gardner and talks of privatization being thrown around the halls of the White House, we are now in one of the most pivotal moments in Amtrak's history. Now, more than ever, we must protect Amtrak as a public service. All of us who care about passenger rail need to deliver that message forcefully to our members of Congress. Use this action alert to call, write, or "tweet" your elected officials and continue to make your voice heard!

Share your thoughts, feelings, and reactions to issues you may have had on a recent Amtrak trip. Dining or observation car taken off? Faulty equipment during the trip? Dirty windows & exterior? Communication issues before the trip even began? Help us keep hammering the message home and share this survey with other passengers!
Take the Survey"I’m so proud that we came together in bipartisan fashion in the Senate to keep the Southwest Chief chugging along, and I’m grateful for this recognition from the Rail Passengers Association. This victory is a testament to what we can accomplish when we reach across the aisle and work together to advance our common interests."
